A Lancaster University spin-out, built on a decade of carbon research.
Gavion began in a computational chemistry lab at Lancaster University, where Prof. Abbie Trewin had spent more than ten years investigating how carbon structures could be engineered — atom by atom — to do things existing carbons cannot.
The outcome of that work is a new, patent-protected material with direct relevance to one of today's most important technologies: the lithium-ion battery. Gavion was founded to bring that material from the lab into industrial deployment.
We are a small, technical team combining world-leading materials science with commercial leadership from companies that have scaled deep-tech before.
